Roy E. Meyer

MEYER, Roy E. on March 9, 2013 of Hillsdale formerly of Bergenfield. Before retiring he was a carpenter for Carpenter's Local #15, Hackensack. He was a Navy veteran of World War 2 and a member of American Legion, Post 162, Hillsdale, where he served as Chaplain. He was a substitute crossing guard in Hillsdale and a Worthy Past Patron of Celestial Chapter OES and a member of the William L. Daniels Lodge, F&AM, both in Bergenfield. Beloved husband of the late Jean. Devoted father of Kathleen Brecher and her husband Jake, Glenn and his wife Dana and Ronald and his wife Janie. Loving grandfather of Richard, Laura, Daniel, Jessica and Stephanie. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, Tuesday morning at 9 for the funeral Service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ridgewood at 10. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
