Salvatore Mele

Salvatore Mele, 92, of Whiting formerly of Jersey City passed away on March 5, 2019. He retired from the US Postal Service in Jersey City and was an Army Veteran of WWII serving in Italy. Dear brother of Rose Wagner and Frank Mele and predeceased by Louise Barbagallo, Betty Spiotto, Mary Senk, Anthony, Tony, Andrew, Joseph and Nicolas Mele. Beloved uncle of Carol Donohue and her husband Joe, Audrey Luckow and her husband Robert, Nancy Spiotto, Michael Spiotto, Barbara Lullo, Anita Barbagallo, the late Sebastian (Sonny) Barbagallo, Elise Wagner, Lynn Ann Wiegard and Chuck Wagner and great uncle of Stefanie Luckow Hawkinson, Darren Donohue, Christopher Donohue, Dorian Meyers, Kathryn McKeever and many more great nieces and nephews. He was a great lover of baseball and a great story teller. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 5-9 PM with the funeral service at 8:15 PM. All will meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 9 AM and the procession will leave for the cemetery at 9:45 AM. Interment Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
