Sr. Margaret Mary Dennehy, MFIC

Dennehy, Sr. Margaret Mary, 96, of Tenafly, died peacefully at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck on Saturday July 7, 2018 after a short illness.

Born in Co. Kerry, Ireland, Margaret was one of 12 children.  In 1938 she entered the Missionary Franciscan Sisters and served in Internal Ministry in Rome, Italy, as well as in NY, MA, PA and NJ.  Her last assignment was in St. Therese Parish in Cresskill, NJ from 1996-2004.  Sister retired but continued to serve her fellow sisters in Community in Our Lady of the Angels Convent in Tenafly.  Sister is survived by three of her sisters living in Ireland.

Calling hours will be at Our Lady of the Angels Convent chapel, 253 Knickerbocker Road, Tenafly, on Tuesday July 17, 2018 from 2-5 p.m.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated in the convent on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will be at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
