Thomas McMahon

McMahon, Thomas, 75 of Hillsdale, Formerly of Bergenfield and Kilenana, County Clare, Ireland, passed away September 30, 2009 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Tommy had been employed by the New York Post for twenty five years and was a parishioner of St. John's R.C church, Bergenfield. There was no greater lover of Irish music. Tommy is survived by his devoted wife of forty nine years; Mary(nee:Conroy), loving father of Geri, Sean, Margaret and her husband Mark, Eileen and her husband Mike and Clare and her husband Matt. Dear grandfather of Fiona, Ashling, Matthew, Thomas, Emma, Brendan and Dylan. He is also survived by his brothers Michael and Peter in England and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Monday at 10:30 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 11:00 AM. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Tommy's memory to the American Cancer Society.
