Thomas R. Payne

Thomas R. Payne, 63, on May 15, 2009 of Bergenfield. Born in Shady, NY, he was a Manager for Verizon, New York, NY retiring in 2006. An Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a very long time Friend of Bill W., a long time member of the Englewood Monday Night Group and the Couples Group. He was a volunteer of the Interreligious Fellowship for the Homeless, Teaneck and member of the United States Tennis Assoc. Beloved husband of Susan E. (nee Miller). Devoted father of Lisa and her husband Andy Krestalude, Kelly and her husband Chris Belthoff, Erin and her husband Tom Miller and Shannon and her husband Danny Pavas. Dear brother of Joan Shultis and John Payne. Loving grandfather of Alexander Miller, Krystin Belthoff, Emma Miller, Melanie Krestalude, Marisa Belthoff, Andrea Towne and a special grandchild expected in October. Dear son in law of Jean Gavin and brother in law of Lawrence and his wife Jana Miller and Robin Devoti. Tom is also survived by many friends that have become family of choice. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Tuesday at 9:45AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Anne's R.C. Church, Fair Lawn at 10:30AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Sunday 7-9 and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
