Thomas D. Westervelt

Thomas D. Westervelt, 55, on March 25, 2013 of Bergenfield. Born in Jersey City, he grew up in Ridgefield Park. A Billing Clerk for Quest Diagnostics, Teterboro, he worked prior to that at Valley Fair in Little Ferry. A parishioner of St. John's Church he coached his son Sean's basketball team and son Tommy's baseball team for the Bergenfield P.A.L. A great sports fan he was especially a fan of the Green Bay Packers. Predeceased by his parents Thomas D. and Julia Maureen (nee Donohue), he is survived by his devoted wife Lorraine A. Westervelt (nee Dolan), beloved sons Thomas D. Westervelt, III and Sean J. Westervelt, loving mother in law Marie Dolan, dear sisters Mary and her husband Bob Eshak and Juliann and her husband John D'Elena and brother Patrick and his wife Maureen Westervelt., dear sisters-in-law, Sharleen and her husband Tom Tibbs, Nancy and her husband Donald Yarish, brothers-in-law, Bob and his wife Rene' Dolan, Bill and his wife Nancy Dolan, Gary Dolan, Raymond and his wife Carol Ann Dolan and Tom and his wife Mary Dolan and good family friend Miranda. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew. Visiting Wednesday 5-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9AM for the Funeral Service at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
