Tore N. Fryhle

Fryhle, Rev. Tore O. N. , 93, died peacefully at home in Bergenfield on Sunday November 7th. He is survived by Ruth, beloved wife of 50 years, children Craig and Corinne, their spouses Deanna and David, and grandchildren Lauren, Heather, and Erik. Eldest son Allan died in 1993. Tore was born in 1911 in Stockholm, Sweden. He was a Lutheran missionary for 30 years in Tanzania (1938-1957) and Protestant Chaplain for 24 years at Englewood Hospital (New Jersey, 1960-1984). Tore and wife Ruth have been long-time members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tenafly. Tore was also a member of Englewood Rotary Club and the Association of Professional Chaplains. Funeral services Saturday November 13th, 10 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church (430 Knickerbocker Road, Tenafly, NJ). Burial at South Church Cemetery by Cooper's Pond, W. Main St., Bergenfield. Visiting at Trinity Lutheran Church Friday 2-4 and 7-9. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, with designation for one of the following beneficiaries: Trinity Lutheran Church, the Englewood Hospital Chaplaincy Fund, or Iambi Hospital, Tanzania.
