Victor Frens

Victor Frens of New Hampton, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at home. He was 61. Victor was born on August 2, 1951 in the Bronx, the second son of the late Bert Frens of Fremont, MI and Irene Frens of Brooklyn, NY. Anyone who has ever known or met Victor couldn't help but love him as he had the gift of gab. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandpa. His grandchildren were his whole world and a constant source of pride and joy and he often bragged about them to anyone and everyone. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ruth Thielemann Frens; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Frens Johnson and husband, Harold; son, Sean Edwin Frens; grandchildren: Jaiden and Symone of New Hampton; sister, Elaine Frens Lobay and husband, Michael of Mahwah, NJ; brother, Allen Frens of Lake Worth, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in 1998 by his younger brother, Christopher. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at ORMC, the 911 operator, the paramedics, the State Troopers for their tireless efforts. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 6th at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ 07621 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 7th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made online to American Diabetes Association at http://www.diabetes.org/. They would also ask that friends consider becoming organ donors to honor the memory of Victor B. Frens.
