Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home Inc., 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ on Friday at 8PM. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Heuvelton, NY on Monday, June 13th. The family will receive friends on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Shirley was a gentle, soft spoken and kind. She cherished all living things. Her modest lifestyle and selfless commitment to others will be her greatest legacy. She spent the best years of her retirement caring for her ailing parents. Prior to the onset of her own illness, Shirley's compassion for the millions of stray and feral cats trying to fend for themselves led her to provide shelter for those within her reach.
