William (Bill) F. Rinesh, 82, a former Bergenfield resident, died on October 11, 2010 surrounded by his children. Born in Manhattan, NY on May 21, 1928 to the late William and Helen Rinesh. After high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Army during WWII. While serving during the American Occupation of Japan, he climbed Mt. Fuji. After the war, he attended New York University. Following school and marriage, he worked for Standard Scientific and London Company in New Jersey. He retired from American Transit Insurance in 2003. He enjoyed Broadway shows, jazz concerts, camping, oil painting, dancing, was a devoted Yankees and Giants fan and spending time with family and friends. He was active in South Presbyterian Church for many years. He spent his last years at the Paramus Veterans Home where he finished living a very full and happy life. Surviving are his children, Therese and son in law Michael, Gigi, Gui and daughter in law Sheila and Christian; grandchildren, Philip, Elizabeth, Nick, and Christina; sister BettyAnn and brother in law and friend Tom; nieces, Margaret and Jennifer and great nephews, Peter and Matthew. He was predeceased by his long time partner, D.D. Lesley Blummeling of Bergenfield. There will be a Memorial Service at South Presbyterian Church, 150 West Church St., Bergenfield on Saturday at 11 AM, interment to follow at South Church Cemetery.
